The Role

The Trainee Manager is responsible for assisting the Sale/Site Manager in managing current contracts, maintaining relationships within the industry, learning and improving IT systems and processes, and supporting future opportunities that may arise within the industry.
The Location
The Trainee Manager will be based at the Western Victoria Livestock Exchange (WVLX) in Mortlake, VIC, however, may be required to travel to other saleyards throughout VIC, as well as occasional trips to assist teams in NSW and QLD.
Responsibilities include:
• Consistent and professional interactions with clients, saleyard management and agents
• Assisting with maintaining current contracts
• Assisting with Livestock and saleyard procedures
• Improve productivity through mentoring of staff
• Use of software systems and livestock precision technology
Desired qualities and skills:
• Exposure to agricultural industry and livestock is desirable with knowledge of saleyards and processes
• A positive attitude bringing strong communication, problem solving and relationship building skills
• Willingness to learn processes, software and technology
• Organised and proficient in time management
