Rivbeef, a family-owned operation, is looking for experienced Pen Riders to join the team at their modern feedlot operation on the outskirts of Deniliquin. This is a great opportunity to work alongside a good crew in a fast-paced cattle environment where good horsemanship, teamwork and animal welfare are genuinely valued.
The Role
Working within the livestock team, you will be involved in all aspects of pen riding and animal husbandry including daily cattle monitoring, animal health treatments, low stress cattle handling, cattle inductions and exits, drafting and moving cattle, along with general record keeping duties.
About You
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Previous pen riding/feedlot experience
- Strong horsemanship skills
- A genuine passion for cattle and livestock production
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Strong attention to detail and animal welfare standards
- Applicants must supply their own suitable working horses and saddlery
- A current driver’s licence
